DeadStock Rules
Core platform rules for buyers, sellers, and auctions at launch.
Last updated: May 2026
DeadStock connects sellers and buyers through timed live auctions in Kuwait. The steps below describe the standard launch flow.
- Seller submits a product for free.
- DeadStock reviews the submission and may approve, reject, or request changes.
- An approved product is published as a live auction.
- Buyers may browse and use the watchlist for free.
- To bid on a specific auction, a buyer pays a 0.990 KWD Bid Participation Fee for that auction only.
- Qualified buyers place bids in 5 KWD increments (unless otherwise shown).
- The auction ends at the scheduled time (subject to any anti-sniping extension shown on the listing).
- If a winning result is recorded and any reserve is met, contact details unlock between the winning buyer and the seller.
- The winning buyer and seller arrange product payment and delivery directly.
- If something goes wrong after unlock, either party may report an issue for admin review.
DeadStock is a live auction marketplace focused on fashion, collectibles, and related items. DeadStock provides listing review, auction timing, bid records, watchlists, contact unlock after results, notifications, and issue-reporting tools.
At launch, DeadStock is not a warehouse, does not take custody of goods, does not process final product payment, and does not act as escrow. DeadStock does not guarantee that every transaction between buyers and sellers will complete successfully.
Each live auction has a start time, end time, current high bid, and bidding rules shown on the listing. Bids are binding expressions of serious intent to buy at the bid amount if you win, subject to these rules and any reserve.
DeadStock may cancel, extend, or remove an auction if required for integrity, legal compliance, or platform safety. Bid history may be shown in a public or participant-visible ledger as described on the site.
Sellers must submit accurate descriptions and clear photos. Do not list prohibited, counterfeit, or misrepresented items. Respond promptly after contact unlock when you have a winning buyer.
Seller submissions are free at launch. DeadStock may reject submissions that do not meet quality or policy standards. Commission on sales is 0% during the launch phase unless DeadStock announces otherwise.
Browsing and watchlist features are free. To bid, you must pay the Bid Participation Fee for that auction when required, and follow increment and timing rules on the listing.
Do not bid unless you are prepared to complete the purchase if you win and contact unlock occurs. Bidding for manipulation, harassment, or without intent to buy is prohibited.
The fee is 0.990 Kuwaiti Dinars per auction, charged when you unlock bidding on that specific listing. It is not a deposit toward the product, not escrow, and not payment for the item.
Paying the fee allows you to place bids on that auction only. It does not guarantee you will win, that the seller will respond, or that a refund will be issued except where DeadStock explicitly reviews a limited refund case.
Unless a listing states otherwise, each new bid must be at least 5 KWD above the current high bid (or starting bid). DeadStock may adjust increment rules for specific categories or auctions and will show the rule on the listing.
Some auctions include a reserve: a minimum price the seller is willing to accept. If the highest bid does not meet the reserve when the auction ends, there may be no winning buyer and contact details may not unlock.
Whether a reserve exists and whether it was met may be communicated on the auction result. Buyers should review listing information before bidding.
Auctions end at the displayed time unless extended by an anti-sniping rule shown on the site. When time expires, DeadStock records the result according to bid history and reserve rules.
After ending, only eligible winning outcomes trigger contact unlock. Non-winners and signed-out visitors do not receive the other party’s contact details.
Contact details are hidden during the live auction. After a qualifying win, the winning buyer and seller can see each other’s contact information provided for the transaction, as described in the Contact Unlock Policy.
DeadStock does not publish seller phone numbers or emails on public listing pages at launch.
The winning bid amount is the agreed product price between buyer and seller. Payment method, timing, meeting location, shipping, and delivery are arranged directly between the parties.
DeadStock does not collect product payment, hold funds in escrow, or arrange courier services at launch unless clearly stated for a specific future feature.
After contact unlock, buyers and sellers may report issues such as no response, payment disputes, delivery problems, or item not as described. Reports are operational tools for review, not a guarantee of refund or forced completion.
Admins may mark reports open, under review, resolved, completed, cancelled, or no action required. DeadStock may restrict accounts based on patterns of abuse or policy violations.
Prohibited conduct includes: fake or shill bidding; bid retraction abuse; harassment; off-platform deal circumvention before unlock; listing stolen or counterfeit goods; misrepresenting condition; sharing another user’s unlocked contacts; and attempting to evade fees or bans.
DeadStock may remove suspicious listings or bids, withhold unlock, or suspend accounts without prior notice when necessary to protect the marketplace.
DeadStock may warn, limit bidding, block submissions, remove listings, cancel participation, or permanently restrict accounts that violate these rules or harm other users.
If your account is restricted, you may contact DeadStock through the channels on the Contact page. Restrictions may apply to participation fees already paid where policy allows.
