Issue Reporting Policy
How to report problems after contact unlock and what DeadStock can do.
Last updated: May 2026
Issue reporting is available after contact unlock for that auction transaction, when buyer and seller details are available on your dashboard. Reports before unlock are generally not accepted except for platform safety emergencies described on the Contact page.
Choose the category that best matches your situation. Examples include:
- Buyer no response — seller cannot reach the winning buyer after unlock.
- Seller no response — buyer cannot reach the seller after unlock.
- Payment issue — disagreement or failure to pay the winning bid amount.
- Delivery issue — pickup, shipping, or handover problems.
- Item not as described — materially different from listing photos/description.
- Buyer changed mind — buyer refuses to proceed after winning.
- Seller changed mind — seller refuses to complete after a qualifying result.
- Other — anything else relevant with a clear description.
Each report moves through operational statuses visible to involved users where the product supports it:
- Open — received and awaiting initial review.
- Under review — admin is examining bids, unlock, messages, or evidence.
- Resolved — DeadStock recorded a general resolution outcome.
- Transaction completed — admin marked the sale as completed on-platform records.
- Transaction cancelled — admin marked the transaction as cancelled on-platform records.
- No action needed — reviewed but no further platform intervention warranted.
Issue reporting helps DeadStock review behavior and records. It does not make DeadStock the payment processor, insurer, or arbitrator with binding legal authority over private payment disputes.
DeadStock generally cannot recover cash paid directly between users or force delivery. Outcomes may include account warnings, restrictions, or delisting.
Provide accurate dates, amounts, screenshots, and messages relevant to the auction. False or harassing reports may lead to restrictions on reporters as well as reported users.
DeadStock may restrict bidding, selling, unlock, or entire accounts when reports show repeated no-response, fraud patterns, or policy violations. Restrictions may apply without refund of participation fees except in limited billing-error cases.
