Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers about DeadStock at launch.
Last updated: May 2026
DeadStock is a Kuwait-focused live auction marketplace for fashion and related items. Sellers list through review; buyers bid in timed auctions. At launch, buyers and sellers complete payment and delivery directly after contact unlock.
Create an account, go to Sell, and submit your item with photos and an accurate description. DeadStock reviews the submission. If approved, your auction goes live on the schedule set by the platform.
Yes. During the launch phase, submitting products for review is free and DeadStock charges 0% seller commission on completed sales unless we announce a change.
Not at launch. Seller commission is 0%. Future optional services or commission on selected auction types may be introduced later with notice.
Bidding is free during the launch period.
DeadStock may introduce participation fees in the future with prior notice.
Buyer and seller arrange final payment and delivery directly.
No. Browsing live auctions and using the watchlist are free. You must sign in to place bids.
After the auction ends with a qualifying winning result (including any reserve being met). Then the winning buyer and seller see each other’s contact information inside the platform.
No at launch. You pay the seller directly for the item (for example cash or bank transfer) for the winning bid amount. DeadStock does not hold product funds or act as escrow.
No at launch. Delivery, pickup, or shipping is arranged between buyer and seller after unlock.
The seller may not be obligated to sell. Contact details typically do not unlock, and there is no winning buyer for that auction.
Open your auction result, confirm contact unlock, and reach the seller promptly. Agree on payment method, price (your winning bid), and delivery. Complete the purchase in good faith.
After contact unlock, use the issue reporting tool on the transaction. DeadStock admin will review operational records. We may restrict accounts but do not guarantee automatic refunds.
From your dashboard or post-auction panel after unlock, choose a category (no response, payment, delivery, not as described, etc.), describe what happened, and submit. See the Issue Reporting Policy for statuses.
DeadStock may introduce a Bid Participation Fee per auction in the future with prior notice. During launch, bidding is free. See the Bid Participation Fee policy page for how a future fee would work.
Common reasons include unclear photos, prohibited items, inaccurate description, suspected counterfeit, or policy risk. You may revise and resubmit where the product allows. DeadStock does not guarantee approval.
Staff or automated checks review submissions for policy compliance and listing quality. Unless an item is explicitly marked as DeadStock Verified, authentication is based on seller photos and declarations, not in-person inspection of every item.
