Buyer Policy
What buyers should know before browsing, bidding, and completing a win.
Last updated: May 2026
Browsing live auctions, viewing photos and descriptions, and adding items to your watchlist are free. You do not need to pay the Bid Participation Fee until you decide to bid on a specific auction.
To place bids, pay 0.990 KWD for that auction when prompted. The fee unlocks bidding on that listing only. It is not a deposit, not product payment, and not a guarantee you will win.
Each bid is a serious intent to purchase at that amount if you win and unlock occurs. Only bid amounts you are willing and able to pay the seller directly. Do not bid to manipulate prices or harass sellers.
DeadStock may restrict buyers who abuse bidding or fail to act in good faith after winning.
Unless the auction page states otherwise, each bid must be at least 5 KWD higher than the current leading bid. The interface will suggest valid amounts.
If you win and contact unlocks, contact the seller promptly, confirm the item and winning bid amount, and arrange payment and delivery directly. Failure to respond or complete without good reason may lead to reports and account restrictions.
Inspect items when possible and ask questions before the auction ends if the listing allows messaging through platform tools only where available.
You will not see seller phone or email on public pages before the auction ends. After a qualifying win, your dashboard shows seller contact details for coordination. Reserve-not-met auctions do not unlock contacts.
Pay the seller the winning bid amount using methods you agree. DeadStock does not collect product payment or ship items at launch. Keep records of payment and delivery agreements.
After unlock, report no response, payment problems, delivery issues, or item not as described through the issue tool. Admin review is operational; refunds of the 0.990 fee are limited and not automatic.
Prohibited buyer conduct includes shill bidding, retracting bids in bad faith, sharing unlocked seller contacts publicly, chargeback abuse, and off-platform circumvention. DeadStock may remove bids and restrict accounts.
