Bid Participation Fee
0.990 KWD per auction — what it covers and what it does not.
Last updated: May 2026
The Bid Participation Fee is 0.990 Kuwaiti Dinars (KWD) per auction listing. The amount is shown before you confirm payment.
You pay once per auction to unlock bidding on that specific listing. Paying for one auction does not unlock bidding on another. If you return to the same auction later, your paid participation may still apply as recorded on your account.
The fee is not held toward the product price and is not returned when you win. Your obligation to pay the seller the winning bid is separate and arranged directly with the seller.
DeadStock does not sell the item to you. The fee pays for platform bidding access only. Product payment happens between buyer and seller after contact unlock.
Paying the fee does not guarantee you will win the auction, that the reserve will be met, or that the seller will respond after unlock. Auction outcomes depend on bids and listing rules.
After successful payment, you may place bids on that auction subject to increment rules and auction status. The fee does not unlock seller contacts early or grant delivery services.
You can view auctions and use the watchlist without paying this fee. Only users who choose to bid need to pay for that auction.
The fee is collected through DeadStock’s participation checkout flow. In development or beta, payment may use a test or mock processor. Real payment provider integration (for example KNET or Apple Pay) is not live until DeadStock enables and announces it.
Do not assume a specific bank or wallet method is available until checkout shows it. DeadStock does not store full card numbers when a provider tokenizes payment.
The fee is generally non-refundable once bidding access is granted. DeadStock may review limited exceptions such as duplicate charges or confirmed platform errors. Losing an auction, reserve not met, or seller no-response are not automatic refunds.
Contact support through the Contact page with your auction ID and payment reference if you believe a billing error occurred.
